“Compost Piles, Spiral Light-bulbs, and Bluer skies.”
Houston, TX – “We all need to do our part to ‘Go Green’” Says Kathy Beyer-Conrad, spokeswoman for Clean Energy Connection (CEC), “‘Going Green’ has different meanings for everyone, but we all agree that cleaning up the environmental damage of the last few decades needs to be embedded into the modern culture, so as to properly take root and grow to fruition.”
“If the history of clean energy in culture were a symphony, then we would currently be in the first movement. At this stage, some people change all their lightbulbs to CFL, or compact fluorecent bulbs, while others start compost heaps or even buy a hybrid.” says Jarl Heinrich, a Danish environmental consultant. “As long as we’ll do our part to use less energy, the impact will be magnificent. As Sheryl Crow once said, ‘the cheapest energy is the energy you don’t use in the first place.’”
Sheryl Crow was right, as we produce larger and larger fractions of our needed energy, we make great strides toward being energy neutral as we can reach an equilibrium in the middle where our supply of clean energy meets our overall demand.
“The culture of clean energy has been embraced by the people.” Adds Beyer-Conrad, “pollution causing energy is about as popular as horn-rimmed glasses. It’s no longer simply a counter-culture, it’s the next big thing.”
Everyone is doing their part to make our world use less energy. Are you?
